First of all the characters didn't feel real to me. The characters are more likely that they are from before the 2000s since when you read it tells about how Latinos and Blacks would be segregated.
I didn't think the book had a best part but if I had to choose one it would be the part where she meets Priscilla because it showed another side to Marisa's character.
The things I dislike from the book was how it was written. The author was on to something unlike because it's not a usual story. The author gives us a love story of a nerd and a tomboy style girl and you normally don't see this tips falling for each other romantically. From my point of view the story had a opportunity to be something unlike but then it started to be more and more of the same things we typically see and read to keep the story going like: ''My mom doesn't want me to be with you'' or ''I moved from my school to be with you'' that sort of thing. This maybe happen because the author want to emphasize the fact that opposites can attract which it doesn't makes since since he portray the characters in a sort of way but with there actions they portray something completely different.
I rate this book with:
